Oregon's Flashy Basketball Court

Oregon has a new basketball court. Some will like it, most will hate it. It's old news that they were getting this court, however, now there has been a game played on it. People over the world complained via twitter and other internet sites about a glare inducing headaches. I like the idea of the woods in the court, however it's very blinding and distracting.

When Oregon finally gets use to played on this floor, it WILL be the definition of home court advantage. :D
But hey, it may have already grown on them. The Oregon men's basketball team defeated USC  68-62.

  1. I feel this is similar to the home field advantage the Denver Broncos have in football with their stadium's altitude. How many people will this arena hold? If it is a lot, then imagine being an away team playing on a court with a miserable glare and a ton of drunken college kids.

  2. Yeah, it's also similar to Boise State's blue and Eastern Washington's red fields.

The stadium cost 237 million dollars to make and it hold 12,541 people! Which is a pretty decent amount for a college basketball arena. It's not the largest, but it's still a lot of people.
